Flight du Lac Laman

Flight du Lac Laman

We're back after a wonderful visit in Europe. Our home base was in Huemoz, Switzerland and we did some traveling around the alps, france and Italy. It was such a wonderful expereince to show Laurie my old kicking ground and for her to meet my really good friends who live in Switzerland. Our plan ride back was really bad- because the french folks decided to go on strike the day the we were flying out. I've told the story too many times now but basically our flight was delayed 24 hours- the drove us to EuroDisnesy for a hotel which was a hour away. Great food but they didn't bring a bus back in the morning so we had to pay $40 to get a ride back to the airport. 6 hours of delay the next day with boarding the plane once then a machnical failure then, deboard and the reboard again.

AHHHH!!!!

anyway we made it home but they lost our luggage. figures. but i have my camera and photos.

I took 4,050 pictures in 2 weeks- i was going for it. I just really wanted to capture Swiss L'Abri, Hueomz and all of the sights that we saw. I'll be posting them here on my site and on flickr site. But i gotta go through them first....

But we are good- very tried but good. I woke up at 3am this morning- ready for work. ughh. thats the only downside of traveling. Every hour of time difference takes a day to recover. So its going to take 7 days.

anyways- i've got some plans for my site and labri's site and really look forward to updating both. I've got a few videos done that i'll be posting-. not from europe but some other ones. i'll have a video of switzerland hopefully soon.

ciao!

Well I am sitting here after many of many revisions and I am on the final lap. Same video that i mentioned before.

So its a tedious process. Doing a lot of it in Motion and then importing it into Final Cut. But every time you make an adjustment in Motion, you have to re-import it. AHH!@!. Then re-render again. Hence thats why I am writing this write now on my laptop and my desktop is rendering away. But the little tweeks make the whole thing look good.

Less than a week now when we head to Switzerland. SO SO excited about that. We are renting a car so we can drive around and do some site seeing. I'll be taking my DSLR with me; and most likely my video camera too. Ally will be missed but in good company.

anywho- things are good with us. We are really liking our new place and its much more spacious. New additions can easily fit.

So back and forth of rendering. Such is life.

I am so excited to see so many old friends and places next week. Its a blessing that we are able to do that.

off for now ...

We had a lot of friends come out and help move. Of course it was perfect weather on friday and sunday- THE DAYS WE DIDN'T MOVE. Saturday was filled with rain and nasty weather. All of our stuff survived though.
I'm working on a massive video project. Taking up all of my time. Its for a video installation at the Georgia Aquariam in a week and a half. Very excited about it- just stressful trying to get it done. Hopefully I will be able to say good things about it once it is done.

In a little over a week we are going to Switzerland for a trip! Very excited. Going to see the old kicking grounds and show Laurie my old neighborhood. Lots of pictures will be taken!

But for now deadlines approach!

Thats me
