It’s been a while since I’ve posted. It’s more just that I’ve been using other Social Media tools than my own blog. And after you have an active audience/friends/colleagues somewhere else, we tend to forgot other areas. So I look forward to updating this more and getting all of my new content/ideas/work out that I’ve been doing over the past year. stay tuned!

Busy Summer, Fall is rolling in!

This past summer has been quite busy as my wife and I took our kids to several family vacations in different parts of the southeast. We had a blast seeing family and friends and getting to reconnect with them!

I’ve also been pretty busy working on a international medical education course that happens twice a week and is broadcasted live to four international sites and twelve sites here in Georgia (US). The international sites that we are broadcasting to are Tbilisi, Georgia ; Beirut, Lebanon ; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Ningxia, China.

It’s been great to work with all international locations and all the different time zones. It also makes me crave to get back to Switzerland and see all of my friends there.

I’ve been able to wrap up a short video on a patient who went through a VAD program and finally had a heart transplant. She was very vibrant and just a really enjoyable lady. I’ll be posting that video soon on my blog and video section. Soon I will be filming some Hip Hop musicians based in Atlanta and producers about their work and the studio space they are working in.

I’ve also enjoyed a lot more activity in photography lately, doing work for a Day Spa here in Atlanta and a lot of engagement sessions and weddings on the weekends.

I’ll be posting more of my work soon in video and photography. It’s all sitting here, just need to make it web ready and publish!

Over the summer, I was able to go camping, mountain biking and rafting with some old college friends up in North Carolina. It’s been a annual trip, but I haven’t been since our first trip in 2004. It was an amazing time and great to see everyone. When you take time and get unplugged from day to day stuff, it really gives you a new perspective on life. The picture I’m posting is a panorama photo taken from my iPhone on top of a cliff that we road too on our bikes. Great times!

Finally here in Georgia it’s starting to cool off from the summer heat. We’re looking forward to starting our fire pit and roasting marshmallows! Fall time could not come soon enough!

I photographed Janci and Alan’s engagement session in late December and really had a blast being with them. It was a cold winter day, but warm enough to be outside and have a great time. I am shooting their wedding this weekend, so I just wanted to share these photos of them before their big day. Enjoy!

As I revamped my website in December, my thoughts were to post more on the blog and get my new work posted online quickly. What I’ve seen is that I have spent more time on Twitter or Facebook making those type of posts. My thoughts on social media have changed over the past several months, mainly just a greater understanding of it’s role and how I want to participate with it. Blogs are good and so is keeping updated posts and thoughts on your own website. The ecosystem of Facebook or Twitter can be pretty limiting in the long run. Posts or updates only live there for a few hours, then it’s old news. So I’ll be taking that philosophy and applying it on here.
The past few months have been pretty exciting and ill be posting pictures and video of my work and behind the scenes happenings. I look forward to sharing that on here.

As the last few hours of 2009 are upon us, I’d like to wish you all a wonderful New Year. 2009 has been a good year for both me personally and my family. We’ve had a lot of challenges, but things seem to work themselves out. I’m thankful for all the work that I have had over the year and thankful for a healthy and happy family. You can’t ask for more.

Also I’ll copy and past a little note that I posted earlier today to some friends.

#10yearsago I was living in Huemoz, Switzerland. What amazing time in my life. Traveled a few countries with Anna Kennedy, spent Christmas with Christian Bekaan in Bielefeld, Germany and New Years with Stefen Josef Lowery in Aosta, Italy. Here’s to the next ten years!

If you have visited the site since last night, you will see that the entire site has been redesigned from head to toe. I had several goals to accomplish and several things that I wanted to happen. First – was to update my video and photography sections. I’m able to add content much quicker now.

I’ve also worked on some branding things and general usability. I’ll be posting more about this soon, but just wanted to let everyone know now!
