The new I-Pod touch, or affectionately known as the I-PodT, started arriving in stores last thursday. This has my complete interest because I’ve been really wanting the I-Phone, but i have a contract until the second half of next year. Bummmer. So to get my fix of the touch screen and hacking a new version of OSx, the Touch is the only thing for me right now. I’ve been reading a lot of the first impressions and they are really mixed. There are a lot of bad batches out there that are display colors and specifically blacks wrong. Videos and photos look distorted like a negative black. But others haven’t had a problem. Some are hearing a hiss out of the audio, others are not.
I’m going to hold out a little longer to see if this gets resolved. I haven’t had a chance to got to the Apple store yet, but will head down soon.
Hopefully Apple will be able to clear up these issues rather quickly.
